Multi-cloud software vendor Avi Networks has appointed George Tsoukas to lead its launch into Australia and New Zealand as its new regional vice president.
Avi Networks provides multi-cloud application services like load balancing with intelligent automation and elasticity across clouds. Its flagship product is the Avi Vantage Platform, which delivers load balancing, application security and service mesh in one platform.
Tsoukas comes over from AppDynamics, where he was sales director of its Victorian business. He commenced his role in September, and has brought in a management team as well.
“Initially we will be targeting customers of the more established appliance-based load-balancing vendors such as F5 and Citrix, who are coming up for renewal. Our software-only technology offers automation, analytics and multi-cloud capabilities that these cannot,” Tsoukas said.
“We are also close to announcing a high-profile distributor to cover Australia and New Zealand, which is critically important as we have a 100 percent channel strategy.”
Prior to joining AppDynamics last year, Tsoukas also worked in various sales and management roles with VMware, F5 Networks, McAfee, Dell EMC, and Cisco, and was also managing director of BlueCat Networks from 2013 to 2015.
