The LG G3 is available for $799 through Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, Allphones, JB Hi-Fi, Fone Zone, Virgin Mobile, Network Communications and other selected retailers.
The phone has a quad-HD display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a MicroSD card) and a laser auto-focus camera.
Pre-sales deals via Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone include additional accessories and devices, including the G Watch, an LG wireless charger and a 'Red' deal from Vodaphone.
LG's G Watch is a wearable computer with voice and touch controls which can synchronise to devices using Android 4.3+.
The vendor's mobile communications division sold 14.5 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2014, a 20 per cent increase on the previous year's performance.
