LG Australia's managing director and head of mobile depart

LG Australia has announced the departure of its managing director and head of mobile communications.

Managing director Deok Hyeon Moon will move to the vendor's headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, to work in the Overseas Sales and Marketing team. He had been the local boss for three years.

Prior to Australia, Moon led LG's businesses in Russia, Panama and Central America.

Moon will be replaced by his successor Youngik Lee on 1 January. Lee himself is relocating from Seoul's RAC Overseas Sales and Marketing unit.

LG Australia's head of mobile communications Jonathan Banks will end his time in March to "pursue other opportunities". A replacement will be sought immediately, according to the company.

"Mr Moon and Mr. Banks have been great advocates for the Australian business. Both have been instrumental in steering significant change and innovation during their time with us and they will be missed," said LG Australia's general manager for marketing Lambro Skropidis.

"We send them on with our very best wishes and look forward to welcoming Mr Lee as we move into the New Year."
