Lenovo signs Dicker Data for SMB server push

Dicker Data has joined other major distributors in Australia offering Lenovo servers, as the vendor looks to grow its share of the tier two market.

While Dicker Data has been selling Lenovo notebooks desktops and workstations for the last two years, the extension to the agreement means it can now sell Lenovo’s System x and some network and storage products.

This includes the full range of System x tower servers, 1U and 2U servers, v3700 storage products and Lenovo networking products.

Lenovo’s other System x distributors in Australia include Avnet, Ingram Micro Australia and Synnex Australia.

Lenovo has been a standout performer for Dicker Data in the past, with the distie previously citing strong growth in Lenovo sales for the second half of the financial year ending June last year.

“Our strength in the SMB market segment means we’re in the perfect position to grow Lenovo’s enterprise business," said Dicker Data chief executive David Dicker.

Lenovo’s Australia and New Zealand channel sales manager Fred Viet said Dicker Data has grown to be one of the vendor’s largest partners.
