Leader signs cybersecurity vendor ViCyber for Australia

IT distributor Leader said it has formed a strategic partnership with cybersecurity innovator ViCyber to strengthen cyber protection for Australian businesses.

The collaboration provides Australian partners access to ViCyber's Cyber Health Check platform.

This incorporates artificial intelligence-driven vulnerability assessments and compliance management tools.

"Cybersecurity is no longer a luxury; it's a necessity for every business," Theo Kristoris, managing director at Leader said.

"Our partnership with ViCyber introduces a unique blend of automation and compliance expertise, providing partners with the tools to offer unparalleled protection to their clients," Kristoris added.

Australian businesses face mounting cyber threats along with a stricter regulatory requirements, including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

"Staying ahead of cyber threats is crucial in today's digital age - our strategic partnership with Leader equips the IT channel with the resources to offer robust, proactive security solutions," Aastha Gupta, chief executive officer and co-founder at ViCyber said.

Recent incidents underscore the financial impact of cyber attacks, with one manufacturing firm suffering a $1.55 million loss following a ransomware attack.

The platform helps businesses comply with critical frameworks including the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential Eight, and the SMB1001, and ISO27001 standards.

To mark the partnership, Leader and ViCyber are offering promotional deals including six months of free access for businesses with fewer than 100 users.

Larger organisations with over 100 users can access three months of complimentary service.

Partners can either pass these savings directly to their customers or retain the discount to increase their revenue.

Leader has committed to providing comprehensive marketing, training, and support resources to help partners enhance their cybersecurity offerings.
