Under the agreement Lan 1 will co-market, sell and support the N-central 6.5 software to Australian solution providers and MSPs focused on small and medium-size businesses (SMBs). Lan 1 will also work closely with N-able’s sales, technical support and partner development teams to provide a high level of pre-and post-sales support, as well as technical support.
This is the first time N-Able has entered the Australian market, according to Gavin Garbutt, president and CEO of N-able Technologies.
“We are teaming with Lan 1 to accelerate our growth in Australia and engage with partners faster than we could on our own. N-able is eager to earn the business of Australia’s solution provider and MSP community as business owners and trusted IT advisors in Australia’s growing SMB market," said Garbutt.
Garbutt told CRN Canadian-based N-Able has around 1400 resellers across the European and North American marketplace.
“Our research shows the Canadian and Australian market share similarities, we also have team members who have worked and lived in Australia. So we want to keep our market penetration about the same and have around 40 resellers on board by the end of the year. Although we haven’t been here a full month and we are on our way to already signing our fifth reseller partner,” said Garbutt.
According to Garbutt, remote monitoring and service automation is becoming a popular tool for managed service providers because the network has become the most important aspect of an SMB’s IT infrastructure.
“It’s important for managed service providers to be able to predict a network disaster before it occurs. Enterprise organisations have always known this, but in the past couple of years SMBs have caught on as well, ever since they started communicating with customers via email,” said Garbutt.
Garbutt said N-Able will be holding its first reseller training and education event at the Vibe Hotel in North Sydney on 6 March.
