Kogan launches bargain-basement tablet

For a limited time, Kogan is offering its latest tablet - the Agora 8in Tablet PC with a capacitive touchscreen - for $150.

The new Agora tablet comes with an 8in 800x600 capacitive touchscreen, a 1.0GHz Samsung Cortex A8 CPU, 512MB of DDR3 memory and 4GB of inbuilt storage running the Android 2.2 platform.

Other highlights include built-in wi-fi (b/g), a 2MP camera, USB and MicroSD connections, an Internal G-Sensor and an HDMI output.

Note that the $150 asking price will only be available for a limited time - the Kogan site LivePrice buying system allows you to purchase a product while it is in the process of manufacturing or shipping. After the deal ends, the price will be bumped to $229.

A 10in version is also available on the Kogan website, with the price currently hovering around $190 ($269 after the LivePrice period ends).

We're yet to test either Kogan devices, but you can read our review of the previous 7in version here.
