iSoft has inked a $6.5 million licence and services deal covering three Malaysian hospitals and hopes to win deals with six more.
All the hospitals use the healthcare software maker's hospital information system, eHIS.
The first contract was awarded to the Malaysian Ministry of Health to a prime contractor, the Kuala Lumpur Systematic Conglomerate.
It is for five years and has base revenues of $6.5 million with potential for another $11.5 million if the hospitals extend for three years.
The ministry is expected to finalise $18 million of contracts for the last six hospitals by next June.
