Interactive Intelligence signs Hood Sweeney Technology for SA

At the same time, the partnership will increase Interactive Intelligence's presence in South Australia through HST's customer base.

The agreement follows HST's in-house deployment of the Interactive Intelligence Enterprise Interaction Centre IP PBX solution across its Securities, Technology, Finance and CPA groups.

"Over the past two years, our offices in Adelaide and Whyalla benefited from the capability, power and value proposition of the Interactive Intelligence product set and we identified that it could also provide a point of difference for our overall solutions offering in the South Australian market," said Gerry McGuinness, CEO, IT Services, HST.

"As the system is software-based as opposed to a traditional hardware PABX solution, it provides organisations with the flexibility to easily unify departments, distributed offices, contact centre workgroup operations, and remote and mobile employees."

Interactive Intelligence will compliment HST's services offering in hardware and software supply, risk prevention, disaster recovery planning, ongoing maintenance and systems integration.

"Being an Interactive Intelligence user, HST is an excellent example of a strategic partner who can take our product to market in the Australian region," said Brendan Maree, country manager A/NZ, Interactive Intelligence.

"They understand the benefits of the solution and have a deep understanding of the needs of local customers, both in government and from the private sector."

HST believes Interactive Intelligence will be attractive to the South Australian local government market as it enables councils to refrain from duplicating communications infrastructure in remote locations separate from main council buildings and administrative centres.

HST will also target Interactive Intelligence's Customer Interaction Centre Voice Over IP solution to the South Australian enterprise sector providing companies with an all in one suite for contact centre applications as well as PBX/IP PBX call processing, voicemail, fax server and unified messaging.

"Interactive Intelligence has been very proactive in educating our team in how to present the offerings to end user customers," said McGuinness.

"This investment in time has been very worthwhile and we look forward to enhancing our relationship even further just as we have achieved with the strong partnerships we have traditionally forged with major security, software and hardware vendors," he added.
