Intel Australia has hired several new staff in its Intel Solutions Services (ISS) and Reseller Channel Organisation.

First cab off the rank, Brett Hannath has been promoted to group manager, solutions marketing and alliances, charged with managing the implementation of the company's strategy into enterprise, government and vertical markets. Hannath has been with the company for more than four years.

Leon Bui has been appointed distribution account manager for Australia and New Zealand. He was previously channel manager at Maxtor ANZ and has experience managing distributors and OEM relationships in Australia.

The ISS division has created four new positions. Mark Lane is ISS' client manager for Australia and New Zealand. Lane was previously a senior sales executive for strategic accounts at Gartner Group.

Secondly, Richard Cassidy has joined the ISS senior technical consulting team. Cassidy was technology architect at Australian Insurance Group (AIG).
Leif Nielsen and Jeff Watts, both from Qantas, have also joined Intel in technical and consulting roles.

ISS provides companies with a place to test the viability of Intel products on specific applications. The centre is also used for enterprise test tuning, optimisation and server solutions for established or new data centres, Intel said.
