Telecommunications and electronics contractor to Chevron-operated Gorgon Project has selected Integ Group to provide video-on-demand and entertainment for staff in the construction village.
Integ, a UXC company, will supply and implement the IP network and entertainment lineup to about 3,000 rooms and common areas for workers of the gas processing facility on Barrow Island, off the coast of Western Australia.
Integ and Kentz will design, test, manage and deploy the services for the network, which will deliver applications and content.
Marketing director Kerry Scotland told CRN that Integ will announce an additional support contract at a later date.
"[Today's] contract is for supply, implementation and professional services. It does not include support, but it will," Scotland said.
Integ said it provided a similar service to a further 8,000 rooms in Western Australia and Queensland and described the sector as "substantial" with the "opportunity to continue to grow market share".
Ian Poole, Integ Group chief executive, said Integ has more than ten years' experience in delivering in-room entertainment to four and five star hotels.
Entertainment solution
Scotland said Integ's vendor partners for the Gorgon project included the iBahn IPTV and video-on-demand suite.
For audio visual elements in the outdoor and indoor cinemas as well as in the common areas, it has used products from Bose, Marantz and Denon.
