Ingram Micro has enhanced its cloud marketplace with the addition of Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud.
This is a cloud-based security management solution that helps small and mid-sized organisations reduce vulnerabilities and security risks to their endpoint system.
Ingram Micro’s general manager of cloud and software services, Lee Welch, told CRN the solution would benefit partners who want to better support their clients’ businesses.
“Our partners are now well positioned to address end-customers’ most challenging security demands while offering a cost-effective portfolio of solutions,” he said.
“Symantec’s comprehensive cloud-based security solution is easy to use and simple to set up, enabling partners to seamlessly deploy, manage and secure their end-customers’ devices quickly and with minimal resources.”
Welch said Ingram Micro decided to bring the Symantec Endpoint protection solution to Australia after a successful launch in the US.
It then took almost a year for the distie to develop an application packaging standard package, which is used to integrate application software to its cloud marketplace.
Welch told CRN that Ingram Micro only adds vendors to its cloud after first checking their business health and technology processes, and confirming they’re channel-friendly.
