Ingram Micro Australia has appointed Grant Cleary in a newly created role of marketing director, the distie has revealed today.
The role promotes marketing to a standalone department, where previously the marketing team reported to sales executives.
Cleary will head up a team of 11 and report directly to Australian managing director Jay Miley.
Before joining Ingram Micro, Cleary held the post of director of marketing for the Personal Systems Group at HP.
He was in that role for three and half years.
"The appeal for me in this role is to really get some strong channel experience," Cleary told CRN.
