Infotronics to distribute Vkernel's new virtualisation offering
Under the distribution agreement, Infotronics will lead sales, partner recruiting and support efforts throughout Australia for the company’s virtualisation software. VKernel’s software suite offers applications to analyse capacity bottlenecks and increase visibility in resource and capacity consumption of individual virtual machines in VMware ESX environments.

“By rapidly solving specific server virtualisation issues such as cost visibility, chargeback, and capacity bottlenecks, VKernel virtual appliances provide instantaneous value and benefits to any organisation involved in a virtualisation project,” said Alex Bakman, founder and CEO of VKernel. “Our relationship with Infotronics should immediately increase market opportunities for VKernel’s products throughout Australasia.”

Phil Lancaster, technical director, Infotronics Software said that as Australian businesses continue to migrate towards to virtual server environments, VKernel’s virtual “plug-and-play” appliance suite will offer new functionality in cost visibility and capacity analysis across virtual environments.

“Infotronics has a renowned practice of only dealing with best-of breed vendors and VKernel is no exception. Their product offerings in the virtualisation space have won them numerous awards and we see their Virtual Appliances for Systems Management as something the VMware community in our region will gain real benefit from,” he said.

“Virtualisation continues to be a core area of focus for us, and VKernel is a welcome addition to our product portfolio,” he added.

Infotronics will be staging an Australian multi-city virtualisation event in mid-April covering issues including virtualistion solutions and best practice.
