Breach containment firm Illumio has unveiled a new artificial intelligence-driven security solution aimed at helping organisations detect and respond to cloud-based threats more effectively.
The company said its Illumio Insights is the industry's first cloud detection and response solution powered entirely by an AI security graph.
Illumio's new offering is designed to observe and protect workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, providing visibility into an organisation's network traffic, flows and connections to identify potential security risks.
"When an organisation is under attack, understanding the connectivity graph is crucial," Illumio founder and chief executive Andrew Rubin said.
"Bringing together the Illumio security graph with the AI-driven Illumio Insights analytics pipeline allows organisations, for the first time, to understand how threats and risks are moving through their environment," Rubin added.
The solution promises to help security operations teams uncover hidden risks by monitoring all network flows and connections to detect suspicious activity.
According to Illumio, security teams can then visualise dangerous traffic and prioritise lateral movement risks across environments.
A key feature of the product is its ability to quarantine threats dynamically by isolating impacted workloads, which the company claims will reduce attack impact and improve resilience.
The company said Illumio Insights works alongside its existing Segmentation product as part of the Illumio Platform, which focuses on breach containment across organisations.
