iiNet today announced the pricing and availability of its new Bonded ADSL service, as the ASX-listed ISP launches into the small to medium business space.
Bonded DSL combines two ADSL2+ lines at the exchange level to create faster speeds.
CRN revealed that iiNet was developing the service last month.
iiNet's general manager for business Steve Harley said the monthly price for bonded DSL was $99 plus the cost of the chosen internet plan.
"All the client needs to do is choose a primary DSL connection. So they jump online, choose a DSL plan that suits their needs whether it's $59, $79 or $99," he said.
For 18 years iiNet was residential focused but in the past 12 to 18 months the ISP "saw a need to start servicing small businesses", Harley said.
"We've been working on it over the last 18 months, really adapting what the product needs to be to suit that small business of up to 50 users.
"Whatever speeds their getting we can give them twice that speed uploading and downloading," he claimed.
Small business is the "next big thing for us", said Harley.
About one in five of iiNet's sales go through system integrators, said Harley. However, iiNet does not offer a white label service to its channel partners.
