Global distribution giant Arrow Electronics has signed a multi-million dollar deal to deploy iAsset's SaaS-based training and information management suite across the organisation.
iAsset is a sister company of Australian company Distribution Central.
iAsset president and DC founder Scott Frew told CRN it is the biggest deal to date for iAsset which was initially developed as an internal system for DC. It was launched commercially in 2008 following the incorporation of modules developed by A.S.K Learning, bought by iAsset the same year.
Frew described the cloud-based iAsset suite as “Facebook for the channel” with around 40 customers signed up to date, including 12 in Australia and with more to come.
“The pipeline is looking rather strong,” Frew said.
He said Arrow would use iAsset to help staff better keep track of the various products and training modules for its vendors clients, including IBM, VMware, Riverbed, F5 and Oracle. One of the suite’s more notable features is its ability to track when staff haven’t accessed certain modules and to issue reminders.
“It understands response,” Frew said.
iAsset has post-sales support teams in Sydney, Singapore and the US.
