HP keen to reduce IT complexity
Hewlett-Packard is devoted to reducing the cost and complexity of IT infrastructures and has highlighted the important of the channel’s role.

CRN caught up with Olivier Helleboid, worldwide vice president of adaptive infrastructure at HP, who is in Australia for the Gartner data centre event.

Hellaboid is also on Australian shores to talk with customers about HP's Adaptive Infrastructure strategy and how customers can begin to see the benefits of creating flexibility in their IT infrastructure.

HP’s Adaptive Infrastructure provides the platform for the next-generation data centre and helps customers optimise their infrastructures for better business outcomes like lowering cost and reducing risk, according to the vendor.

“We want to cut costs, make systems faster and have a higher quality of service,” said Helleboid. “The cost of IT has been growing 10 percent a year, because of complexity, and people have to keep on spending money.”

Helleboid said cost and complexity issues are effecting firms across the board, but the financial services vertical is ahead of the rest, while telcos are fast changing too.

“Resellers will play a big part of this as they deliver the actual solution,” added Helleboid.
