LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hewlett-Packard Co on Wednesday said it adopted a new policy on electing its board of directors.
Under the policy, any nominee for director who receives more votes "withheld" than votes "for" election will tender his or her resignation for consideration by the nominating and governance committee of HP's board of directors.
The committee will recommend to the board the action to be taken after such an offer of resignation.
