Secure file sharing vendor Hightail has scored a major coup with Lenovo agreeing to pre-load the app on selected PCs and Windows tablets.
A dedicated Hightail for Lenovo app will be linked to Lenovo ID, a secure cloud-based user authentication system. Users also get free 5GB of Hightail storage if they sign up through Lenovo.
The deal was described as a "fantastic opportunity" by Hightail GM of partnerships Eric van Miltenburg.
"Integrating with Lenovo means a unified management experience so users don’t have to think about managing their files at all," he said.
Hightail, formerly known as YouSendIt, utilises Single Sign-On to provide its users a secure way of helping approve access of different services without remembering multiple passwords.
Hightail claims to have more than 45 million professional clients worldwide.
Earlier this year Hightail, announced plans to setup its Asia Pacific headquarters in Australia.
