Kogan has unveiled its latest Android smartphone priced at $239, adding to its budget-oriented lineup.
The Agora 8 Plus includes some features available in more expensive smartphones, such as a fingerprint sensor, a high-capacity battery and an octa-core processor, according to Kogan.
It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and comes with dual SIM card slots.
It's powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MT6750T processor and 4 GB of RAM, as well as a Mali-T860 MP2 680M GPU.
The screen is 5.5-inch 1080p Gorilla Glass scratch-resistant IPS display, on top of a smartphone with dimensions of 155x77x9 mm.
The phone is Kogan’s latest flagship smartphone since the Agora 6 Plus released last year, which was priced at $349.
“Smartphones are a necessity for everyday life, but a lot of people aren’t able to keep up with the sharp price increases for new devices,” said Kogan product manager Sergiy Bobrovnychyy.
“We’ve built a phone packed with all the high-end features that Australians demand, but at a fraction of the price.”

The Agora 8 Plus starts shipping to customers on 27 November, and will be available to pre-order until 25 November.
Earlier this year, the online retailer launched its Atlas UltraSlim laptops, priced at $569 for the base model and $799 for its “Pro” model.
