Google promises credit for cloud crash

Google has put the lid on yesterday's G Suite, YouTube and cloud outage by promising credits for those whose service level agreements were violated by the incident.

News of the bill adjustment came in Google's final update on the incident., time-stamped 16:56 on June 2nd, Pacific Time.

That update said the incident was sorted at 4:00pm, three hours and seven minutes after first being reported.

It added that Google will investigate the incident and "provide a detailed report of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation."

"This detailed report will contain information regarding SLA credits."

So when will users know how much their bills will benefit?

Probably by the end of the week, if recent form is any guide. Google's explanation for its 17 May BigQuery outage landed on 23 May, while a 7 March networking issue received its detailed description on 12 March.

CRN will be all over that report like a rash.
