Dubbed Siemens Gigaset C47oIP, the product is configured for use over Freshtel’s Voicedot network and will be sold through Freshtel’s channel in both Australia and the UK.
The product, according to Dean Verberne, Siemens’ SHC general manager Australia and New Zealand, allows users to make VoIP calls without the aid of a computer.
“This alliance is a positive step in helping Siemens gain market share in Asia, a fast-growing cordless home phone market,” he said.
Initially the product will be sold through Freshtel’s major partners in Australia and its white label partner, Tescos in the UK.
