Founder of Canberra Microsoft partner Veritec steps down
Tony Winmill

The founder of Canberra-based Microsoft partner Veritec, Tony Winmill, has announced he will step down as chief executive of the company.

He named Veritec senior executive Keiran Mott as his successor at the 120-staff company. Mott will assume his new role from 12 August.

“[Keiran Mott] has worked in every level of our business [since 2006] and has been a member of the board for the last two years,” Winmill told CRN.

“He has the persistence, leadership and experience to take Veritec forward and to drive success for our staff and clients. Keiran will bring a focused approach to the leadership of Veritec and how we deliver greater value to our customers through specific industry solutions.”

Winmill reiterated that he will serve as an active member of Veritec’s executive team with Mott and senior executive Marty Holden once he returns from leave in early 2018, while also retaining his status as shareholder and director.

“Keiran is looking forward to leading Veritec in partnering with the public sector and our commercial clients to achieve more through digital transformation that results in great business outcomes for our clients,” Winmill adds.

Veritec was born out of a company restructure in 2013 with Winmill at the helm, catering to clients in the commercial space and public sector throughout Australia. Its offerings include advisory services, installation and development of systems, and managed services.

"It has been over three and half years since Veritec began its new operation where, during that time, we have successfully transformed into an industry leader and award winning Microsoft systems integrator," said Winmill. "I am incredibly proud of our success growing to over 120 people delivering business solutions to more than 60 customers in all states of Australia."
