Former VMware staffer becomes Tintri's Australian chief
Graham Shultz

Storage vendor Tintri has nabbed former VMware sales boss Graham Schultz to be its Australia and New Zealand managing director.

Schultz started this month at Tintri after coming from his role leading the NSW enterprise and commercial sales teams at VMware, which he joined in late 2013. Prior to that he spent 12 years as Brocade’s sales director and country manager and two years as Legato’s country manager.

Schultz is not the only VMware alumni among Tintri’s ranks.  The company’s co-founder Kieran Harty was executive vice president of research and development at VMware for seven years and led delivery of several key VMware products.

Since officially launching in Australia in early 2014, Tintri has been busily building its local presence.

Midway through last year, Tintri appointed local channel manager Mark Migallo, a former Oracle practice director at NTT ICT and ANZ channel director at Oracle.

Since then it has added Avnet as a distributor, joining Observatory Crest which was since taken over by US giant Arrow Electronics.

Tintri’s Asia Pacific vice president Peter Molloy was managing the Australian and New Zealand business, and will continue to manage the remainder of the Asia Pacific region for Tintri.
