Former Telstra executive and OzEmail CEO Justin Milne has joined the board of ASX-listed reseller SMS Management & Technology.
Milne has taken the role of non-exective director at SMS, with the company's chairman Derek Young saying Milne brings significant marketing and media expertise.
Milne has had a high profile career in telecommunications including roles as group managing director of Telstra's broadband and media business and leading the telco's new media business in China. Prior to that, he was also CEO at OzEmail as well as managing director of The Microsoft Network Australia in the mid-1990s.
He currently sits on the boards of various high-profile companies, and is currently non-executive director at NBN Co, Tabcorp and NetComm Wireless. Previously he has also been non-executive director of Basketball Australia and the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation, among other roles.
SMS Management & Technology reported a 13 percent increase in revenue to $314.4 million for the 2014 financial year, though profit after tax fell by 40 percent.
In August the company announced CEO Tom Stianos would retire at the end of the calendar year.
