ASX-listed FirstWave Cloud Technology has struck a partnership with Amazon Web Services and Corent Technology that will see its IT compliance and network management software deployed on the AWS Marketplace within three weeks.
The Software-as-a-Service company projects it will get access to 300,000 monthly active marketplace users through the collaboration, which includes approximately AU$250,000 in funding and personnel support from AWS and US-based Corent Technology.
The partnership represents a step in FirstWave's strategy to monetise its substantial user base of an estimated 150,000 organisations currently using free-tier versions of its software across 178 countries.
The company's product suite includes Open-AudIT, Network Management Information System (NMIS) and CyberCision, covering enterprise-grade network management, automation, audit and cybersecurity capabilities.
Development work has already commenced on integrating FirstWave's artificial intelligence technologies with AWS infrastructure to enable seamless deployment, provisioning and billing through existing AWS accounts.
"Getting our products launched on the AWS Marketplace removes key friction points for our current and potential customers and gives us access to a much broader global distribution channel," Danny Maher, chief executive of FirstWave, said.
FirstWave also gains access to more than 2,500 channel partners that utilise the AWS marketplace platform, expanding its distribution reach.
"We're moving at full speed with AWS and Corent to bring our technologies to market with AWS leveraging innovations in AI, which marks a major step in a larger strategy to scale FirstWave's global presence through AI powered automation for compliance management," Maher said.
Firstwave counts Microsoft, Telmex, Telstra, Claro and NASA as customers.
