First Point Global nabs Symantec specialist

First Point Global has appointed Barry Metzger as southern region sales executive.

Metzger, who joined on 13 June, brings 25 years of IT experience, with 15 years as an information security specialist for IBM, Sun Microsystems and Symantec as their senior solution's specialist.

He is responsible for expanding FPG by focusing on existing and new customers in Victoria, SA and WA.

Metzger said: "Consumer identity is the hot ticket item right now and an area FPG has taken a leading position in after establishing itself in the enterprise identity market."

FPG CEO and founder John Havers said "Barry Metzger is well known in the information security industry for ensuring successful outcomes for enterprise customers."
