Edge cloud platform Fastly has promoted Peter Scott to ANZ channel manager.
He joined Fastly four years ago as APAC senior account manager before being promoted to the organisation’s first key account manager.
In this latter role, he built out the company’s strategic account management ecosystem in the Asia Pacific region and expanded take-up of customers adopting Fastly’s managed services.
Based in Melbourne, he will be responsible for driving all aspects of Fastly’s channel partner developments in the region, including the recruitment of partners around a broadening product and services portfolio targeting a range of markets including media, e-commerce, logistics, retail and communications.
“Fastly is going through a transition in the region with the channel playing a critical part of our market momentum," Scott said.
“We have a unique offering in the market enabling our partners to offer services in areas such as web application firewalls, automated DDoS and bot protection, and object storage without the overhead of egress costs which will enable partners to pass savings onto customers.
"I’m looking forward to building mutual wins with partners and expanding our partner channel to benefit both Fastly as well as our partners and customers.”
Bruce Bennie, who recently joined Fastly as AVP at ANZ, said the company is actively recruiting channel partners in Australia and New Zealand who can offer clear differentiation and skills specialisation in key market segments.
"We see strong alliance engagement as an integral part of Fastly’s ongoing success and look forward to Peter Scott driving profitable relationships with our partners and delivering an enhanced experience for our customers," he said.
Late last year, Fastly announced the Fastly Certified Services Partner Program, providing technical security professionals at the company’s partner organisations with training and certification to implement and manage Fastly’s advanced security solutions.
