Vendor Exinda Networks has appointed TechPlus Distribution as its sole distributor across Australia.
Exinda is a provider of Unified Performance Management (UPM) solutions worldwide and it has signed the partnership to further expand its Asia Pacific channel strategy.
Melbourne-headquartered TechPlus was originally appointed an Exinda authorised distributor in 2003. As part of this new agreement, TechPlus will recruit, assist with training and support a growing network of Exinda authorised and premier partners in the region.
Jim Christie, vice president of worldwide sales at Exinda Networks, said: “TechPlus is a natural partner for Exinda. The organisation is focused and proactive, two qualities we look for when recruiting partners.
“At the same time, working closely with our channel partners is crucial to ensuring customer satisfaction over the long-term in meeting the growing demand for our solutions, including the full range of Exinda’s UPM compatible WAN appliances which combine WAN traffic optimisation, WAN application and TCP acceleration technologies onto a single, cost effective platform,” added Christie.
Paul Kern, managing director of TechPlus, said: “Exinda’s broad feature set, highly competitive pricing and local presence make the Exinda products the most competitive in our marketplace. While we had a relationship with a supplier of a competitive product in this space, we are discontinuing that relationship in order to focus all of our attention on the best product in the marketplace.”
Earlier this year, Exinda announced the completion of US$6 million in equity funding from OpenView Venture Partners, in order to spearhead both global and regional sales and marketing efforts.
