Security appliances vendor Cyberoam has appointed Leon Friend as its pre-sale manager for Australia.
Friend has more than 18 years of experience, including roles with distributors Westcon and Avnet.
He is expected to work closely with Cyberoam's partners in the region and lead the company's efforts to provide improved service and support for customers.
The role will also see Friend engaging in product awareness programs, delivering product certification trainings, product webinars and assisting partner skill developments.
He said: "The channel community in Australia is highly competitive and is in constant lookout for effective growth strategies…This is a great opportunity for us to not only strengthen our existing partner relationships and commitments but also to develop new ones as well."
Cyberoam has high hopes for the move, which comes on the back of Gartner reporting a growth of 20.3 percent for network security vendors in the Asia Pacific region.
