ESET launches new MSP offering in Aussie channel

ESET has selected Australia as one of its first markets to launch its new managed service provider program.

According to the vendor, the program will allow ESET's partners and customers in the SMB and enterprise market to buy its security solutions on a monthly billing basis.

Hotline IT and Pro1 Security are the first two resellers on board with this new program.

Australia was selected for the MSP program because the local market for IT infrastructure is very mature and customers are demanding greater flexibility in the way they purchase and manage their IT security software, according to ESET.

The monthly billing and invoicing model means MSPs can add or remove licences for a customer on a daily basis and manage all end user licenses via the ESET MSP Platform interface. This removes a major pain-point for customers and is not something offered under most MSP programs, it claimed.

A key feature of the program is that end users don´t need to manage any licence activation information as the updating is handled automatically by the ESET MSP partner through a web-based portal. This frees up the customer to concentrate on their core business.
