ESET goes back to the drawing board

Security software vendor ESET has launched a global revamp of its business range.

The "completely re-engineered and redesigned" catalogue is led by ESET Remote Administrator, and includes ESET Endpoint Security for Windows, OSX and Android; ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Windows and OSX; and ESET File Security for Windows Server.

"With the digital revolution having changed the operational landscape so fundamentally, we wanted to go back to basics and really understand what our customers need to grow their businesses today and in the foreseeable future," said ESET chief executive Richard Marko. "The key is to balance usability with performance and agility."

The new products are available to the Australian channel from today.

"Security vendors must offer their customers better solutions that don't hog an organisation’s resources when fighting off threats," said ESET chief sales and marketing officer Ignacio Sbampato.

ESET made headlines earlier this month for the fallout from the termination of its 14-year relationship with local distributor Antivirus Australia. The Slovakian vendor now self-distributes its products in Australia.
