Empired scores $5m a year in managed services contracts

Empired has scored a number of managed services contracts that are expected to deliver $5 million a year in recurring revenue.

In an ASX announcement (pdf) released today, the Perth-headquartered MSP said the wins would replace lost revenue from a previous ICT infrastructure support contract with Main Roads Western Australia.

Empired scored the infrastructure managed services contracts with the WA’s Department of Planning, Land and Heritage and shopping rewards company Loyalty Pacific Pty Ltd (operating as Fly Buys). It also scored an application managed services contract with an unnamed “large NSW state government department”, cloud managed services with a “leading” WA university and another unspecified contract with a “leading Australian consumer finance company”.

The contract wins are part of a pipeline of $200 million worth of contracts to be contested throughout FY20, as revealed in Empired’s FY2019 results.

The company said most of the contracts are expected to operate at expected revenue by Q3 2020, after a period of transition activities.

Empired managing director Russell Baskerville said, “It’s my pleasure to welcome all of our new clients. We are committed to long-term mutually successful partnerships and look forward to working together to propel your organisation’s digital journey and achieve your business goals.”

“We are delighted with our recent managed services contract success, cementing our managed services operations and delivering on our commitments to building recurring revenue and long-term client partnerships.”

In August, ASG Group announced that Main Roads WA has awarded it a $75 million contract, displacing Empired from the agency.
