The UK's largest police force, the Metropolitan Police -- better known as Scotland Yard -- has sought out Australian search software, ISYS Search.
ISYS said the win means that the ISYS range of search software is now used in 45 percent of United Kingdom Police organisations.
Investigators use ISYS to help find information in a range of different reports, databases and other law enforcement resources. ISYS said the software is also used during court proceedings, where it enables prosecutors to quickly check facts and transcripts whilst a trial is underway.
ISYS Search Software first sold to software to the UK Police market 12 months ago, in June 2003, to Hertfordshire Police HQ. Since then 20 other UK police forces have purchased the award-winning ISYS software, including the Greater Manchester Police, West Midlands Police, Merseyside Police and Sussex Police.
'We're delighted with the momentum we're getting from the UK law enforcement market,' said Ian Davies, founder and managing director of ISYS. 'To achieve 45 percent penetration within a year is a great result, and we have a number of other UK police forces who have said they'll buy, so we expect to continue increasing that number.'
