Education vendor signs Australian distie Wavelink

Melbourne-headquartered distie Wavelink has secured the Australian distribution rights for education technology vendor Lightspeed Systems.

Lightspeed is known for offering products for the primary and secondary school markets, with everything from "web filtering, mobile device management, learning management system (LMS) and classroom management" in its catalogue, according to Wavelink.

The distributor claims Lightspeed Systems is currently the only vendor offering all of these products, letting schools mix and match to meet their specific needs.

"The response from Wavelink’s education partners that have been introduced to Lightspeed Systems offerings has been very positive and we're very excited with this new addition to our product portfolio," said Wavelink managing director Ilan Rubin.

Wavelink stated that education is already a key sector for the company. It advertises "wi-fi to unified communications and network access" in its catalogue.

The distributor is run from Hawthorn East in Melbourne, with a branch in Bondi Junction in eastern Sydney. Lightspeed is a US vendor with international offices in the UK and Sydney.
