Power management vendor Eaton has promoted Dan Agnew as managing director of its Australian and New Zealand business.
Agnew takes the reins from Gordon Makryllos, who will step down from his full-time role after four-and-a-half years.
He brings more than 20 years' experience to the role, having worked in Australia and North America in various senior leadership positions for companies like BOC South Pacific, Jaycar and Fishercast. He joined Eaton in February 2016 as general manager, power distribution for ANZ.
“For the past four years, Dan has built a high-performance culture across Eaton’s power distribution team, transforming its channel and achieving excellent growth results,” said Makryllos.
“With engineering and business qualifications, as well as experience in operational, commercial and strategy roles, Dan is well positioned to lead the Eaton workforce well into the future.”
Commenting on his new role, Agnew said he was looking forward to continuing the culture built by Makryllos.
“Together with our executive leadership team, my focus will be to continue to develop and grow our channels, our customers and our employees – while leading our business as we support transformation across the entire power train which is being driven by increased connectivity, renewable energy and population growth,” he added.
Agnew's new role will commence on 1 July.
Eaton overhauled its ANZ partner program earlier this year to include a new partner portal and partner incentives, including a training academy, monthly promotions and 24-hour turnaround on deal registration.
