Prefabricated modular data centre specialists DXN has signed a A$1.6 million contract with infrastructure builder Ventia.
Under the contract, DXN will deliver its StructCore Solution to Ventia, who will be supporting a major Australian telco and infrastructure owner. The final product will be deployed in in Perth, WA in an exchange that the major telco own and operate.
The StructCore Solution enables customers to convert and reuse their existing indoor space or brownfield sites to support high density data centres with a customised prefabricated indoor solution.
The solution is precision-engineered in controlled factory conditions, then disassembled and reassembled on-site. Existing services remain live while modernising supporting infrastructure.
Under the agreement, DXN will provide design, prefabrication and construction, with testing and delivery planned for November/December2025.
DXN MD Shalini Lagrutta said this partnership is a clear testament of the company's product team’s ability to solve real-world gaps in the data centre market through the telecommunications market segment.
"DXN has built a solid reputation across the industry in delivering complex and innovative modular solutions has been a key factor in this win," she said.
"The data centre industry is dynamic, and we continually receive inbounds, for market segments that currently do not exist, or that require a solution centric focus, this contract is representative of that activity.
"We are immensely proud of this achievement, which not only affirms our capabilities but also opens the door to further growth opportunities, both in Australia and internationally.
"This was an area of product development we flagged in our October 2024 Capital Raise; we remain committed to penetrating this market and look forward to completing this first site, demonstrating a successful deployment, and setting ourselves up for future opportunities.”
DXN said the momentum from recent project wins positions the company for at least a 45% increase in revenue for FY25, with expected revenue in the range of $15.7 million to $16.0 million.
Earlier this month, DXN secured a A$4.6 million contract with Globalstar for the design, prefabrication, and delivery of three high-specification modular data centre units for deployment in Maui, Hawaii, by end of 2025.
In May, DXN was awarded a $2 million contract by DP World Australia to deliver two high-performance modular data centres for operations in NSW.
