DTA's Digital Marketplace Panel 2 opens for IT partners

The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has officially opened its Digital Marketplace Panel 2, calling for IT partners to apply.

The second iteration of the digital marketplace panel will replace the original panel launched in April 2017, which was created to challenge the market and increase participation of small to medium enterprises.

In January 2023, the DTA sought feedback from IT services companies on suggested improvements to the original panel.

The whole-of-government Digital Marketplace Panel 2 is open to IT partners that provide ICT professional and consulting services or ICT labour hire services.

“We are looking for sellers who are creative, flexible, and customer-focused,” DTA 's CEO Chris Fechner said in a blog post.

"We care about diversity and inclusion in the digital sector, and we seek to collaborate with suppliers who have the same vision and values."

“The panel is not a one-off opportunity. It is a flexible arrangement that enables suppliers to enter or change their products and services over time."

"The panel will also be regularly reviewed and refreshed to ensure it meets the changing needs and expectations of government buyers and sellers.”

The DTA claims the new panel offers a simplified way for industry to provide government with cost-effective services, greater transparency for industry and agencies, and consistent terms across the procurement process.

ICT professional and consulting services the DTA is seeking to offer via the panel cover the likes of application, software engineering and development, architecture, business systems and process analysis, cybersecurity, data analytics, implementation and support.

IT partners are invited to apply for the panel via BuyICT.gov.au by 11 April 2024, with further panel details and requirements available in a request for tender.

Existing sellers on the original digital marketplace must apply to the new marketplace to sell under the new panel.
