The Australian government's Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is inviting new and existing sellers to apply for the Software and ERP Marketplace Panel (SMP) Category 2 – Commercial Off‑the‑Shelf (COTS) software.
The Software and ERP Marketplace allows a broad range of Australian Government and other approved entities to purchase certain software products and associated support and system maintenance services.
The COTS software category includes 26 software classes that describe the capabilities that sellers may offer buyers through this category, as well as six service classes.
These software classes include productivity and business intelligence; analytics and AI; database management; cyber and physical security; and network management and virtualisation.
An industry briefing is scheduled for 6 May 2026 at 11.00am AEST.
The request for tender will close at 4PM AEST on 28 May 2026.
In March, the DTA extended the Software and ERP Marketplace panel, with Category 2 being extended to 30 April 2027.
The extension was aimed to ensure continuity of the Software and ERP Marketplace while future marketplace arrangements are finalised, as well as allow buyers to complete existing procurement activities and provide continuity of access to software and ERP solutions.
