The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has launched a fresh call for applications to join its Cloud Marketplace panel (CMP), the digital sourcing arrangement for the Australian government.
This latest refresh aims to expand the pool of cloud computing offerings available to government agencies, the DTA said.
DTA's CMP operates as a cooperative panel arrangement, with providers appointed through initial open approaches to market and subsequent refreshes.
The aim is to broaden the range of cloud services and expertise available to government agencies.
Two primary categories form part of the CMP:
Category 1 – Cloud Services
Category 2 – Cloud Consulting
Capabilities for the categories include:
- AI and Machine Learning
- Analytics, Forecasting and Reporting

Existing panellists need not reapply to categories they already serve but may seek admission to new ones.
The DTA has also opened the door to newcomers, allowing providers not currently on the panel to apply for any or all categories.
Providers interested in joining the panel must meet strict criteria regarding security, reliability, and value for money.
The exact number of new providers DTA plans to add to the panel has not been disclosed.
DTA launched the marketplace in 2021 after Covid-19 delays, to replace the agency's Cloud Services Panel.
