Business intelligence vendor Domo has hired Jude Bolton as its first Australian partner manager.
The former Sydney Swans star joined Domo in October in the role of partner account executive.
Bolton is looking after Domo’s key partner account relationships, including resale partners and business advisory firms, pre- and post-sales consultants, marketing agencies and developers.
He is reporting directly to Paul Harapin, who is Domo’s vice-president and general manager for Asia-Pacific and Japan.
US-headquartered Domo launched in Australia in February 2015. Its partners include 2 Data Fish and Big Squid.
Bolton told CRN that this is his first tech role since he retired from the AFL at the end of the 2013 season. He said his brief was to grow Domo’s channel business and boost awareness of Domo’s platform.
“I look after the partner ecosystem through APAC. It’s been a good journey and a learning phase for me as to how it all operates,” he said.
“In terms of winning those clients, it’s about enabling them and getting them to understand the platform.”
Bolton has also worked for a sports and media agency and done some business coaching since leaving the AFL.
He has known Harapin, a keen Swans supporter, for almost two decades.
