Distribution Central has showed off Emerson Network Power's new SmartCabinet product to partners in Sydney.
The single-rack solution offers power protection and a power distribution unit with uninterruptible power supply. The built-in cooling system allows cold and hot air to circulate within the rack for "better temperature and humidity control", according to Emerson Network Power. Its monitoring system enables the IT infrastructure to be remotely managed.
The SmartCabinet - which launched in March - targets small and medium businesses and it was designed for small computer rooms where space is limited.
Emerson Network Power channel director ANZ Mo Kandeel said that partners were impressed with how quiet the unit is.
The SmartCabinet is part of Emerson’s SmartSolutions family, a suite of integrated and pre-engineered solutions designed to address challenges in IT infrastructure, according to the infrastructure provider.
Distribution Central signed up Emerson's Network Power in September 2015. Last month, the distributor became the only Australian company to offer PlusOptic fibre products.
