Distie takes on security giants with Aussie-owned antivirus

Australian distributor PCRange is starting a reseller push for its SecuraLive Antivirus product, reporting the product is seeing “strong” demand from overseas since launching last year.

The Adelaide-based networking distributor will launch a new version of SecuraLive for Mac, Windows and VPNs this week that Australian resellers can sell under their own brand,.

The distie, which also has exclusive rights to AVM’s FRITZ!Box routers and Billion networking devices, is pushing the Australian-owned angle as it competes with the likes of Kaspersky and others.

“Australian customers love that SecuraLive is Australian-owned, not just another AV engine licensed from a US or European company," said PCRange chief executive officer Raaj Menon.

SecuraLive was launched in June last year, and Menon claimed his company has signed overseas deals worth “hundreds of thousands of dollars a year”, with companies in the US and Asia wanting to white label SecuraLive.

PCRange has also released a free version for home users called SecuraLive Antivirus Free. SecuraLive will offer corporate and OEM partners access to SecuraLive Web Classifications through an API, with both local Software Development Kit (SDK) and cloud-based deployment options.
