Dimension Data wins McAfee award
The accolade comes weeks after analyst firm Gartner placed the integrator in its Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection. Darren O’Loughlin, general manager – Security for Dimension Data claimed the award is a reflection of the company’s recent achievements in the global market.

“Dimension Data’s engagement with McAfee has been very professional and focused, which has paid us dividends,” he said. “This accolade has not only strengthened Dimension Data’s relationship with McAfee through their recognition of us as a market leader in the implementation of McAfee solutions, but also reinforces our commitment to our partnership.”

According to O’Loughlin, Dimension Data’s ability to deploy endpoint, network and data security is the primary reason it is considered an elite partner by McAfee. He is confident that the achievements of 2007 – including the obtainment of a significant government contract – will instigate further growth in coming years.

“This award also comes at an exciting time for Dimension Data’s McAfee business, which has experienced significant growth over the 2007 financial year … a major milestone for us in this growth was our win of a major government contract for a McAfee-based solution,” he said. “The win was a major contributor to Dimension Data winning this award globally.”

McAfee also recognises the benefits of aligning with Dimension Data, taking advantage of the integrator’s experience and network of clients.

“Dimension Data has enabled McAfee to serve its global customer base, deploying our most advanced network security technologies like IntruShield,” said Roger King, executive vice president – Worldwide Channel Operations, McAfee. “We look to further expand our partnership as Dimension Data develops IT security as a key enabler for business objectives such as continuity and availability.”
