Dimension Data Australia has appointed Nathan Vandenberg to lead its data centre arm, and Ed Phillips as the new head of its end-user computing business.
As the new data centre business unit general manager, Vandenberg replaces Peter Prowse, who has stepped up to the global position of strategic partnerships group vice president.
Vandenberg was promoted from his previous role of data centre business unit national manager, in which he "led a team of salespeople, architects, consultants and engineers".
Dimension Data Australia chief Rodd Cunico said that Vandenberg was marked as a future leader from the moment he joined Dimension Data six years ago.
"One of the top competitive issues facing organisations today is the need to become an agile, digital business. Nathan understands the journey our clients are taking, and that optimising IT muscle in the data centre not only overcomes complexity and reduces cost, but is a critical aspect in a successful transformation," Cunico said.
Ed Phillips replaces well known channel identity Brian Walshe, who CRN revealed last month had departed to head up independent software vendor Nintex’s Asia-Pacific operations after a 13-year stint at DiData.
As the new general manager of end-user computing, Phillips will be responsible for DiData Australia’s enterprise mobility and workplace productivity strategies. He has been with the company since 2010, and comes over from his previous role of NSW solutions manager.
"Since 2010, Ed has played a critical role in educating and navigating our clients through a disruptive time in the technology industry," said Cunico.
Dimension Data Australia is a reigning CRN MVP and was named Cisco's Asia-Pacific partner of the year earlier this month.
