Dimension Data Cloud Backup rolls into Sydney

Dimension Data has announced that Sydney is the first of its global Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) locations to roll out Cloud Backup – an optional backup and restore service available as an add-on to Dimension Data’s Public, Private and Hosted Private Compute-as-a-Service (CaaS) offerings.

Dimension Data is offering three classes of Cloud Backup:

  • Cloud Backup Essentials – file and folder backup and restore
  • Cloud Backup Advanced – file, folder, and system state backup and restore
  • Cloud Backup Enterprise – file, folder, system state, and application backup and restore

Clients using Cloud Backup can back up entire applications in order to simplify and streamline business continuity and data recovery.

“Australia is experiencing tremendous growth in cloud services, making the need for Cloud Backup more critical," according to David Hanrahan, general manager for Dimension Data’s Cloud Services.

"Cloud Backup enables our clients to reliably and cost-effectively outsource their strategic backup requirements using our pay-as-you-go model.”
