Dimension Data, now known as NTT Ltd, has replaced ASG Group as the IT managed services provider of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
The $2.5 million contract runs from May 2019 to May 2022, and covers end-user computing services, server management services, access management services and messaging and collaboration services.
A bureau (ATSB) spokesperson told CRN that Dimension Data beat out three other bids, with Canberra-based MSP Sliced Tech also securing a contract to provide secure gateway and network services.
“Dimension Data developed a compelling service offering particularly focused on the requirements of a small agency (100 seats) with a small budget,” the spokesperson said.
“One differentiator was that they included an onsite resource to cater for walk-up enquiries in our Canberra office.”
End user computing services cover on-site IT support, maintenance and repairs; PC installation and imaging; file services print services; Microsoft SCCM equipment and software asset tracking, inventory and management; and anti-virus client software management.
Server management services comprise OS management for on-prem or Azure hosted virtual servers; server management for physical servers in ATSB data centres; storage and backup management; disaster recovery; and a centralised Cylance and Microsoft System Centre Endpoint Protection (SCEP) anti-virus distribution server software.
Access management services cover active directory services; DNS, DHCP and domain name management; software distribution; and access management for internal and external end users defined in active directory.
Messaging and collaboration services cover an Office 365 email, calendar and contacts system; email archiving and discovery; and video conferencing.
