Dicker Data grows telco division with Optus partnership

Optus has been selected by Dicker Data to launch an expanded channel program to provide Dicker Data’s network of reseller partners with access to Optus’ mobile fleet solutions.

Dicker Data’s partner ecosystem will be able to offer Optus mobile solutions specifically designed for mid-market and enterprise requirements, including mobile device management, cost optimisation, secure networking and streamlined fleet administration.

The partnership forms part of Optus’ broader channel strategy, which also includes creating a comprehensive go-to-market approach for mobile solutions.

Last month, Dicker Data established a telco division unit to provide telecommunication solutions, including mobile, fixed connectivity (fibre), unified communications, datacentre and satellite, to partners.

This includes business-grade data services from Vocus.

Optus VP enterprise and mid market, Ben Vella, said the partnership with Dicker Data represents a significant step forward in the company's channel strategy, giving Optus' access to their distribution network and deep market relationships to reach more businesses.

“We’re focused on accelerating business performance together with our partners and by combining Optus’ mobile expertise with Dicker Data’s distribution strength, we’re creating new opportunities for Australian businesses to leverage mobile technology as a competitive advantage," he said.

"With the launch of our new Telco division, we’re committed to delivering a suite of Telco services from trusted brands with solutions that not only deliver exceptional technical quality but also redefine the decades old models of how Telco services have been traditionally delivered through the channel," said Dicker Data executive director and COO, Vlad Mitnovetski.

"Optus is a strong fit for this model, and we’re pleased to be partnering with them to provide our partners with access to their world class network.”
