Dicker Data adds veteran Aussie vendor Laserco

Dicker Data will add crash cameras, sports cameras and tablets to its product list under a new partnership with veteran Australian accessories supplier Laserco.

Sydney-based Laserco, which started in 1987, lists more than 500 products including the V Fitness Activity Monitor, Navig8tr Sports Camera, Laser-branded Windows and Android tablets, cables and other accessories.

Dicker Data chief executive officer David Dicker described Laserco as a “strong brand”.

"Their range fits well with our existing product line up. These products provide good margins for our partners," he said.

As well as selling via its web site, Laserco lists Big W, Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and JB Hi-Fi as retailers.

The company also offers a private label service whereby it rebrands products under a customer’s name.

Laserco began operations importing floppy disks, then moved into distribution of PC and IT accessories before eventually establishing design and production facilities in China.

The company recently appointed Vernon Mikhael as general manager of sales. The company is undergoing “significant” expansion of its product categories, including in tablets, connected home devices and wearables.
